Zeppelin concert may not be possible....

...and here's why.
It was a lottery type system...I didn't win. I think its set up this way:
The winners of the contest received a 'pin' number that is under their name and paid with credit card of that name.

Then when they get to the concert to collect the ticket, they have to match that pin with their ID and Credit card that they gave at the time of 'winning'. Any attempt to transfer completely voids that ticket/seat and nobody gets it. A lot of people are irritated about it as they are being strict - for example if you won a ticket but paid using your mother's credit card, then you wouldnt get in at the show with that ticket.

Maybe Zepp will decide to do the right thing and re-form for another tour next year and give their fans what they have been wanting all these years!

Austin just got back from the doctor and he said its healed. He's excited. I had suggested to Austin to continue to tape his last two fingers together for awhile during football and the start of basketball, because I would think it would be more susceptible to injury….Until the muscle comes fully back, and I know it was tender 2 days ago when he bumped it. His mother gets on the phone and starts asking me if I went to medical school and how can I get off telling him that. She is a total F**king b*tch …she does this right in front of my son, berates me and tells me I have no idea what I’m talking about because I’m not a doctor……I feel sorry for my kids having to try to sort through this.....and she wonders why I didn't want to be around her.

Stopped in to pool league last night....kinda missed it... Suzy , WOW...I think she's starting to lose it.. she told me the same story twice within 30 minutes about her son and grandson....exact same details....it could have been maybe the alcohol

ISU vs Colorado on Saturday in Ames...should be another blow-out...why torture myself?
Correction: they play Oklahoma on Saturday...still a blow out

Deep Thought of the Day: Probably the earliest fly swatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

Wednesday day 670
Wednesday, October 17, 2007, 10:37 AM
Well its Wednesday....no major problems to speak of...no major break throughs either....

Austin had FB practice last night...afterwards he bumped his finger and his eyes teared up...Hate to break his heart, but there is no way he should be playing Sunday...I'll let the doctor break it to him Thursday. Lucky the coaches haven't let him do much of anything to injure it further.

Blaise is cute as ever...having fun in kindergarten...still innocent, lets keep it that way.

I think I'm going to hit pool tonight, first time this session. I'm sure I'll be reeking of smoke...I can't play...bothers arm too much.

The Indians won again last night..In fact MR. Casey Blake was player of the game....makes Austin happy.

Bride sues over flower color ......whatever!

The Last Geico Commercial

Deep Thought of the Day: During the Middle Ages, probably one of the biggest mistakes was not putting on your armor because you were "just going down to the corner.

Another Tuesday and the continuation of rain.

I'm looking for someone to go to London last week in November for Led Zeppelin concert.....anybody interested??

Jesse Gerlits raced over the weekend in the SPOOKY-CROSS ....he wouldn’t tell me how he finished, he just said he didn’t finish last!

Rained all day Sunday and as long as it wasn’t lightning, their racing in anything. YES, it was muddy, bunch of grown kids out playing in the rain and the mud!

Austin had FB practice last night for the Pro-bowl game and again tonight...they won't let him do much cause of his finger. He goes back to the doctor Thursday.

Last night was quite...watched baseball and football and I polished off an entire Breadeaux pizza...didn't get any of the work I had planned done.

Plane ride
A man boarded an airplane and took his seat. As he settled in, he glanced up and saw the most beautiful woman boarding the plane.

He soon realized she was heading straight towards his seat. As fate would have it, she took the seat right beside his.

Eager to strike up a conversation he blurted out, "Business trip or pleasure?"

She turned, smiled and said, "Business. I'm going to the Annual Nymphomaniacs of America Convention in Boston."

He swallowed hard Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting of nymphomaniacs.

Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, "What's your business role at this convention?"

"Lecturer," she responded. "I use information that I have learned from my personal experiences to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality."

"Really?" he said. "And what kind of myths are there?"

"Well," she explained, "one popular myth is that African-American men are the most well-endowed of all men, when in fact it is the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait.

Another popular myth is that Frenchmen are the best lovers when actually it is men of Jewish descent who are the best.

I have also discovered that the lover with absolutely the best stamina is the Southern Redneck."

Suddenly the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed. "I'm sorry,"

She said, "I shouldn't really be discussing all of this with you. I don't even know your name."

"Tonto," the man said, "Tonto Goldstein, but my friends call me Bubba."

Rainy Monday in the land of the so called free.....
Monday, October 15, 2007, 10:49 AM
Another beautiful rainy day as if the last 3 days weren’t wet enough, suppose to be this way all week.

We watched the Mad Monster Party on Friday night…the boys liked it, it was entertaining to see and if you're the type of person who feels strangely attracted to female cartoon characters, then Francesca, the Baron's buxom assistant, should appeal to you(voiced by Gale Garnett).
I’m surprised I didn’t know this existed…..but apparently it was released in 1967 and never had much for syndication.

The Iowa State football team that I no longer am associated with looked like absolute crap on Saturday…..we had a trick play that worked and looked good, but that was it…and of course Meyer didn’t throw the ball on that one.

Austin’s finger is better and I think he will playing in the Pro-bowl on Sunday…we were actually going to let him play a little on Saturday night for the Bears final game, but he blew it. He got in a fight with his mom. She didn’t handle it well; it’s getting old watching the kids walk over her…. Then I take the blunt of it from her, cause she lets them run her life and doesn’t’ discipline them.…..The kids are extremely important, but they are not the parents and the families life doesn’t only revolve around them…..alright enough of that…cause I could really go off..if I needed to.

The Patriots beat up on my Cowboys yesterday…I thought we were standing our ground, but the Patriots offense looked so much like the 93-95 Cowboys offense…just extremely sharp and polished. The Cowboys didn’t look bad, but the Patriots looked much better.

The Indians play again tonight with the series tied.

Enjoy The Week!

Deep Thought of the Day: Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don't know what your rights are, or who the person is you're talking to. Then on the way out, slam the door.

Yes.....its Friday and I still work here......
Friday, October 12, 2007, 11:08 AM
We had our last 2 softball games last night and we didn’t look too hot. Went into last night being in first came out finishing second. Lost both games, even after we looked like we had the second game wrapped up they came back and beat us….Did I mention is was COLD???? Freezing out…..of course I didn’t do anything to keep my blood flowing. Long 2 hours, then I had another 30 minutes of having to wait for them to tell us we were second.

My perfect job?

The boys and I are going to take it easy tonight…Blaise and I will be going to the ISU/Texas game tomorrow. Austin will most likely be hanging with his football team for a picnic tomorrow before their last game tomorrow night.

No other plans for the weekend….maybe I should get some crap done at home…I guess I plan on watching the Cowboys and Patriots on Sunday.

Apparently my MOM found out about my recent discussions with Iowa’s finest. She freaked on me 2 days ago. Telling me she was worried about me….why I was in these other counties, etc….awwwww. Who invented this internet and gave my mom access to courts online??? Well…at least she cares…but a little too much, it was bad enough when I was a kid…that’s why I’m so screwed up

Deep Thought of the Day: If there are two ways of doing things you have a fifty percent chance of getting it right and a seventy five percent chance of getting it wrong.
