Went to Gone Baby Gone last night staring Casey Affleck, directed by his bigger brother. Casey’s acting has matured a lot, it will be interesting to see how he is in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, coming out in a few weeks. The story was not one I liked, just because I don’t like things happening to kids. The movie on a artistic level was very good and asked questions that most people don’t usually think about…..but the movie was still rough for me to watch.
Was planning on Chicago this weekend...we had so much fun out there last year on Halloween , still may go depending who wants to leave 4ish on Saturday night.....Things don't start hopping till late anyway...
Deep Thought of the Day: Which is a better day? The day you look in the newspaper and don't see your obituary, or the day you look in the newspaper and do see your obituary? In my opinion, the day you look in the newspaper and see your obituary is an extraordinary (better) day.

Saturday the boys and I along with my parents and their friends went to the ISU-Oklahoma game…..we actually led the entire first half against the #5 ranked Sooners, before succumbing to our normal dismal playing…..One of our bettter games.Austin had his Pro-Bowl game yesterday, the first time he got to play since breaking his finger. He looked fine. He played quarterback about a third of the game and defense for half the game. Each side had enough for two full teams. He got to throw one pass, incomplete. His team won. Here are some pictures of him in action:
Cowboys beat up on the Vikings yesterday.... Sage Rosenfels former ISU grad....had four touchdown passes in the forth quarter yesterday for Houston ...tying an NFL record.
Watched the Indians lose last night….meaning Austin’s neighbor should be home soon and shaving that beard off. The Rockies and Red Sox in the World Series starting Wednesday.
Deep Thought of the Day: I hope that after I die, people will say of me: "That guy sure owed me a lot of money.

I have a problem with San Fransisco considering ‘shooting gallery’ for drug addicts. Facility would be nation’s first for supervised heroin injections.... Read more about it here. If people want to do that to themselves why are we having the tax payer taking care of them? Not to mention its currently ILLEGAL ...
Spent half the night looking for something I lost and still can't find them...
No plans tonight, except looking for something and enjoying the time with my boys before we go watch ISU get pounded on tomorrow.
Saturday night we'll be cheering on the Indians to win and make the series.
Deep Thought of the Day: I hope if dogs ever take over the world and they choose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas.
Have a Great Weekend!!!

...and here's why. It was a lottery type system...I didn't win. I think its set up this way:
The winners of the contest received a 'pin' number that is under their name and paid with credit card of that name.
Then when they get to the concert to collect the ticket, they have to match that pin with their ID and Credit card that they gave at the time of 'winning'. Any attempt to transfer completely voids that ticket/seat and nobody gets it. A lot of people are irritated about it as they are being strict - for example if you won a ticket but paid using your mother's credit card, then you wouldnt get in at the show with that ticket.
Maybe Zepp will decide to do the right thing and re-form for another tour next year and give their fans what they have been wanting all these years!
Austin just got back from the doctor and he said its healed. He's excited. I had suggested to Austin to continue to tape his last two fingers together for awhile during football and the start of basketball, because I would think it would be more susceptible to injury….Until the muscle comes fully back, and I know it was tender 2 days ago when he bumped it. His mother gets on the phone and starts asking me if I went to medical school and how can I get off telling him that. She is a total F**king b*tch …she does this right in front of my son, berates me and tells me I have no idea what I’m talking about because I’m not a doctor……I feel sorry for my kids having to try to sort through this.....and she wonders why I didn't want to be around her.
Stopped in to pool league last night....kinda missed it... Suzy , WOW...I think she's starting to lose it.. she told me the same story twice within 30 minutes about her son and grandson....exact same details....it could have been maybe the alcohol
Correction: they play Oklahoma on Saturday...still a blow out
Deep Thought of the Day: Probably the earliest fly swatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

Well its Wednesday....no major problems to speak of...no major break throughs either....Austin had FB practice last night...afterwards he bumped his finger and his eyes teared up...Hate to break his heart, but there is no way he should be playing Sunday...I'll let the doctor break it to him Thursday. Lucky the coaches haven't let him do much of anything to injure it further.
Blaise is cute as ever...having fun in kindergarten...still innocent, lets keep it that way.
I think I'm going to hit pool tonight, first time this session. I'm sure I'll be reeking of smoke...I can't play...bothers arm too much.
Bride sues over flower color ......whatever!
The Last Geico Commercial
Deep Thought of the Day: During the Middle Ages, probably one of the biggest mistakes was not putting on your armor because you were "just going down to the corner.
