Last night ended up meeting Sedi at Bradleys where he schooled me in the art of billards…boy do I need to practice. Hadji and Joshua showed up later…..

Austin had his first basketball practice last night. He said it was boring. He has a school dance tonight...so Blaise and I need to find something to do, while he's at the dance.

Looks like those Red Socks aren't going to let the Rookies beat them.

Its someones BIRTHDAY tomorrow...not going to mention Cindi's name as she wouldn't want anyone to know...I think she'll be 40!

I ordered this book yesterday: The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich I'll see if it has any valuable information...probably something about writing a book and then you can retire and live where you want.

Sounds like everyone is dressing up for halloween and going to enjoy this weekend to it's fullest!

Just got back from the collision center at Stews ….looks like that deer is going to cost $4700 to fix my truck. It better have good insurance!

Spent some time and money at the lawyers yesterday…might have to spend a lot more. Will be ticking off the ex very shortly.…but my kids deserve better.

It seems like people are either getting married for the wrong reasons or are not making the effort to spend more time working on their marriages to save them, and instead, run to divorce court at the first sign of trouble. I’ve noticed and learned so much over the last 15 years on this subject….and who created this thing called marriage and why? You see it everyday married people treating each other like crap, why? Deep Thought of the Day: If you drive out into the woods in your truck and hit a deer is it still called hunting? And is it illegal to mount its head on your wall? Cause I did that the other day. Only it was on a street, and it was an old lady.

Went to Gone Baby Gone last night staring Casey Affleck, directed by his bigger brother. Casey’s acting has matured a lot, it will be interesting to see how he is in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, coming out in a few weeks. The story was not one I liked, just because I don’t like things happening to kids. The movie on a artistic level was very good and asked questions that most people don’t usually think about…..but the movie was still rough for me to watch.

Going home last night I hit a flippen DEER!!! At least a 12 pointer, I’m sure that’s going to disappoint a few hunters…..taking it out before the season. The damn thing did a number on my truck….smashed up the hood, fender and both doors on the driver’s side. Like I need my insurance to go up even more. I still haven’t fixed my car from the raccoon…and it was a big raccoon…….

Next week I think I’m going to the Deuce and Scrue show on Halloween at Praire Meadows….nothing like a KISS and Motley Crue tribute band on Halloween, now we need Twisted Sister to round it out….or maybe Ozzy . I will not be in costume...you can call me a funhater. Who else wants to go?


Was planning on Chicago this weekend...we had so much fun out there last year on Halloween , still may go depending who wants to leave 4ish on Saturday night.....Things don't start hopping till late anyway...

Deep Thought of the Day: Which is a better day? The day you look in the newspaper and don't see your obituary, or the day you look in the newspaper and do see your obituary? In my opinion, the day you look in the newspaper and see your obituary is an extraordinary (better) day.

Saturday the boys and I along with my parents and their friends went to the ISU-Oklahoma game…..we actually led the entire first half against the #5 ranked Sooners, before succumbing to our normal dismal playing…..One of our bettter games.

Austin had his Pro-Bowl game yesterday, the first time he got to play since breaking his finger. He looked fine. He played quarterback about a third of the game and defense for half the game. Each side had enough for two full teams. He got to throw one pass, incomplete. His team won. Here are some pictures of him in action:


Cowboys beat up on the Vikings yesterday.... Sage Rosenfels former ISU grad....had four touchdown passes in the forth quarter yesterday for Houston ...tying an NFL record.

Watched the Indians lose last night….meaning Austin’s neighbor should be home soon and shaving that beard off. The Rockies and Red Sox in the World Series starting Wednesday.

Deep Thought of the Day: I hope that after I die, people will say of me: "That guy sure owed me a lot of money.

Austin said his first full FB practice since he broke his finger went great last night. He said he couldn't tell he hadn't been playing. His probowl game is at 1 on Sunday.

I have a problem with San Fransisco considering ‘shooting gallery’ for drug addicts. Facility would be nation’s first for supervised heroin injections.... Read more about it here. If people want to do that to themselves why are we having the tax payer taking care of them? Not to mention its currently ILLEGAL ...

Spent half the night looking for something I lost and still can't find them...

No plans tonight, except looking for something and enjoying the time with my boys before we go watch ISU get pounded on tomorrow.

Saturday night we'll be cheering on the Indians to win and make the series.

Deep Thought of the Day: I hope if dogs ever take over the world and they choose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas.
