What a finish....

Readers are Leaders!

I didn't realize it was going to be so close of a game, this is the kind of game I was hoping we would have with Kansas. Creighton was a lot better than I realized especially being coached by McDermott. How can his team score that many points when he never had ISU close to that over his 3 long years here? Glad he's gone...because we are definitely having fun now..... What a finish....I was still shaking an hour later.....

Tour De Lights is getting bigger and bigger and bigger....I can remember when there were only 30 bicycles on it.....now there are several hundred......Its like all the biking things....apparently people realize how easy it is to have fun....Of course still missing several of the team, but close to half were there yesterday. Which was nice! Tom and his waterproofing.....

Congratulations to Scott and Michelle on their engagement.

Another Green Hornet Trailer......Looking good!

Even without Bruce Lee....

Michelle's broken collarbone, I think it was just a sham to get sympathy.

Some skating tonight I hope, as soon as I find my skates.....

Hairball Saturday!!!

Cold miserable and a long day.....glad I didn't actually do the run....

Parrots and Thanksgiving
Sunday, November 21, 2010, 02:03 PM
A young man received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary.

Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by
consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to 'clean up' the bird's vocabulary.

Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hands, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet.

Not a peep was heard for over a minute.

Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."

John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude.

As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird spoke up, very softly, "May I ask what the turkey did?"

Just Do It
Friday, November 19, 2010, 09:35 AM
Hey if you're not living on the edge then you're taking up too much space.

Just Do It .....Plummer probably said that to me more than anyone....I was usually thinking it was for the wrong reasons.....

X-mas shopping tonight.....

Brenton Plaza opens today...we may hit it after shopping tonight.

Missouri at home tomorrow...Tiller will get his oportunity to show us what we will have next year.

We take on McDermott's new Creighton team Sunday at Wells Fargo Arena. That will give him the opportunity to see what the ISU team should have looked like when he was there. The hard way!

Superfinger! Dane Cook tonight at Wells....wish I could go, kinda...boys are a little more important.

Living History Farms Race tomorrow.....

Didn't break anything last night... Felt damn good......

Tour De Lights after the game on Sunday.....the boys will be down with grandma walking it...Nobody to talk me out of it this year ....Got a bell for the bike, told them I would ring it as I rode by them.

Have A Great Weekend!!

ISU basketball is exciting again!

It's suppose to open at the Kansas Game

Yeah, it's the real deal..... Christopherson had an amazing game last night, tied two records. When he left the game he had outscored Drake by himself.
Godfrey is supurb underneath....needs to improve his offense, but otherwise supurb underneath. Ejin can be explosive(he's the one Austin played one-on-one against back in June while wearing flip-flops and just schooled Austin) . Garrett has improved so much over the last 3 years. He hasn't been making any mistakes and he's running the offensive very well. Yeah this is a gret team for ISU, I'm definately thinking we will make the tournament this year. The 5 guys that are sitting out this year? They are actually probably better than our starting five

A little BBall tonight.....

Cowboys and Aliens ...ummm...trailers looks extremely interesting.....

Deep Thought of the Day: Many people think that history is a dull subject. Dull? Is it "dull" that Jesse James once got bitten on the forehead by an ant, and at first it didn't seem like anything, but then the bite got worse and worse, so he went to a doctor in town, and the secretary told him to wait, so he sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and then finally he got to see the doctor, and the doctor put some salve on it? You call that dull?

Hug or Laughter?

So Which Is It?
Laughter is the shortest distance between friends.
or
A Hug is the shortest distance between friends.

I think I have too many people with the same name in my phone... oops...time to delete more out.

Drake will be losing to ISU tonight.

Deep Thought of the Day: The whole town laughed at my great-grandfather, just because he worked hard and saved his money. True, working at the hardware store didn't pay much, but he felt it was better than what everybody else did, which was go up to the volcano and collect the gold nuggets it shot out every day. It turned out he was right. After forty years, the volcano petered out. Everybody left town, and the hardware store went broke. Finally he decided to collect gold nuggets too, but there weren't many left by then. Plus, he broke his leg and the doctor's bills were real high.
