Dorkier combo than Star Wars and hot air balloon hobbyist?

If there's a dorkier combo out there than Star Wars obsession and being a hot air balloon hobbyist, I'm not aware of it. But hey, don't be ashamed of your passions. No, blow them up to gigantic size so the whole world can see! That's what Benoit Lambert did, creating this absolutely incredible Darth Vader head hot air balloon.

This seriously accurate recreation of Darth Vader's helmet is also a fully-functioning hot-air balloon, allowing the passenger to soar in the clouds while really confusing people on the ground. Can you imagine a giant Darth Vader head floating by over your house? I'm not really sure what the appropriate reaction would be to seeing such a thing. Confusion? Awe? Fear?

It's a Beautiful Monday!

Suns out, not to hot...It's great out!
Lets start with Friday..............
Friday night did quite work out the way it was suppose to, it ended up being one of the best ones I’ve had for a long time. As Sedi had to work late and A. wanted to hang on the west side, the Cubs weren’t happening tonight. InPlay was still there and several people I knew. Michelle and Alice from Thursday night had told me they were going to Mi Mexico for margaritas after work and invited me, I politely said I couldn’t. Anyway leaving work later then normal and most people were still at Winston’s. What’s wrong with popping in for one drink to say hi? Well….ended up hanging with then through Down Under, Miss Kitty’s, then met up with Michelle at Tonic. Bottom line: Michelle is a great girl!

2 funny things happened at Miss Kitty’s….can only talk about one on here. I was talking to M & A and they said this girl over there is burning her eyes into me, I look over and don’t recognize her….and since this happens alllllll the time, I just blew it off. ;)
About 15 minutes later M & A walk off and my shoulder is tapped, it’s this girl looking at me as if I know her. She just looks at me then finally says “Don’t you know me?” I did one of those…..”Awwww…yea….awww no” She goes on to tell me she works with me at TMG, the girl downstairs that you said something to about her boyfriends’ picture switching sides on the desk daily(LS) until it finally clicks….She was a lot prettier Friday night then she is at work, and it wasn’t the alcohol judging either. As for the other story it also involved burning eyes from some woman. Laura showed up for a while too...these girls love to dance....

Kelly showed up at Miss Kitty's as we were leaving she was a ring girl for the Ultimate fighting Friday night...that was on my list too...oh well...I did notice she wasn't wearing much..if you're into that

Saturday the Fun haters? All I can say there were a lot of people at the Waveland about 11:30am.

Sunday...It rained...thats good because I didn't feel so bad for shooting pool. The kids and I then proceded to work on the house...I don't think we got that much done. I also had to get the Wild West 3 on 3 site done. Of course some scheduling for the little league also.

BTW: I forgot to mention nice fake digits Jesse from Thursday night.....

Conclusion:Seems like I have better luck when things are spur a moment.

Austin has track meet tonight at Simpson….then Centro for dinner………then maybe a full night of sleep.

Deep Thought For The Day: If you go parachuting, and your parachute doesn't open, and your friends are all watching you fall, I think a funny gag would be to pretend you were swimming.

With Deep Regret
Friday, April 20, 2007, 11:33 AM - Technology
It is with deep regret that I must announce that Murdock Hinckley died today at the ripe old age of 84. Mr. Hinckley met his end at 7:04am in a tragic blender accident he lead his courageous battle for a good 2 minutes before succumbing to puree of this most dangerous appliance.

Murdock spent his life cheating others and befriending the natives. During his life he excelled at mediocrity. He loved to hear and tell jokes, especially short ones due to his limited attention span. He had a life long love affair with bacon, butter, spoons and those little plastic things on the end of shoe strings.

You always knew what Fred was thinking much to the dismay of his friend and family. His sons said of Fred, "he was often wrong, but never in doubt". When his family was asked what they remembered about Fred, they fondly recalled how Fred never peed in the shower - on purpose... He will be interned at The Holy of Monks of St. Winky. He is survived by his two 3 legged dogs; Spankster and Kat, a hamster, and one son Athos.

He will be happily missed…..Contributions can be sent to this station in care of Rudolph Finkinstein.

Finally It's Friday!

It's FRIDAY!
Last night we had a great start to our softball season by winning 11-3. We had Laura, Turbo Dave, Sarah S, Sarah B, Kim, Stacy M, Gretchy, Beth, Jesse, Andy, Skip(me), and Sedi.
Everybody looked pretty descent….the only problem I see with the team is Skip’s batting….in one word PATHETIC….enough about me. Andy looked fabulous pitching last night. Beth had a great catch after taking her sunglasses off. Laura stretched a little too much…moving those arms above her head….and no sign of Mags, she called right before we start giving me that story about how this is the most important moment of her life if I don’t show up……so what’s so important….stay tuned.........

After our exhilarating win we headed to Charlie’s.I swear Kenny G. lives there….we stayed for a little while then most was going to head to Bradley’s. Me….I was going to try to get a little work done and sleep…I didn’t realize how early it was when I left…and I wasn't going to be that far from Bradley’s….so I thought I could have one…..3 hours later.…I’m leaving after making some new friends; Alice and Michelle. Alice and I actually grew up close and I knew her dad. My mom was her teacher, she even thought my brother was hot once…. and some other things. Michelle and I shot pool controlling the table till we were ready to leave. We'll be going to lunch together sometime next week.
Also made friends with a group of guys from Minnesota, they were on their way to the Royals and Twins in KC. We’re going to head to MN for a few twin games and crash with them.

We are heading down to InPlay tonight then the Cubs game. The Fun Haters tomorrow.....

Deep Thought Of The Day: If you're a young Mafia gangster out on your first date, I bet it's real embarrassing if someone tries to kill you.

FYI: If you happen to say "So what are you doing at 2:30" to the waitress at Bradleys in front of the bartender. The bartender isn't smart enough to realize you're saying that to be funny......
