I have three separate groups of friends going to Vegas over this weekend. Originally when asked about going, I was like in May?...now I’m eating those words as the last 2 days have been crappy and tomorrow may not be much better. I’m sure they will have a great time! Even though none of these going usually gamble, they will be enjoying the reset of the night/day life…..I could always use a little extra $$$ from there, guess I should have went. I’m 7 for 7 in Vegas….one of those was a tie.

Crappy weather for softball last night, but we beat up our competition pretty good. Most of the team were shocked we were playing. It had been raining off and on all day, even some during the game. The field itself was stellar. I wasn’t planning on playing due to my calf being stiff and we were going to have plenty of guys, apparently just not at the start. So I ended up playing the first 2 innings and had 2 home runs…..they weren’t pretty. Scott had a pretty one later. We had Laura, Kim, Temp, Scott, Dave, Bill, Andy, Sedi, Beth, Kim, Sarah S, and me. Laura screwed up her streak by swinging, but she blames me. You know its fun to win…..and there is this Connie girl on the other team…. Most of us went to Limeys for a few hours after….wasn’t patio weather. I got beat up by by a particular woman on the team for what happened over the last weekend…nothing like jumping to conclusions, before you get the whole story…Of course Dave didn’t care about the specifics, what he heard was cool.

Marcus called today, he's coming back in the next couple months. High of 110 today....it's a dry heat? We also talked about him buying half interest in the bus....I'm burned out with it, like most everything else. They way we can finish it up right, for the fall football games. He will probably make one day of Ragbrai...he won't be riding....sound familiar?

Austin has a overnight B’day party tonight, so it will be just Blaise and I. Probably try to get some soccer practice in with Blaise...

Beverage in Hand Tournament at Volly’s on Saturday. I’m not sure how much I will play. I want to play left handed as I can’t afford to rupture my tendon again in my right elbow. After I thought it was healed the first time. I started another league, the second week first spike,” SNAP”. It doesn’t seem like it’s totally back from then. Sucks, because most my friends play leagues all the time and I can’t…..but I’ll survive. The kids will be with me also, so I'd be constantly chasing them around.

After that, I plan on taking the boys to Spiderman 3. Some cleaning, some baseball practice, maybe a little more soccer with Blaise. Possible some computer work too....SO FAR BEHIND!

Sunday..pool league and some biking……

Eric is still gone and we are losing Fabio in a few days…..who’s next, hmmmm….

Deep Thought for the Day: As the evening sky faded from a salmon color to a sort of flint gray, I thought back to the salmon I caught that morning, and how gray he was, and how I named him Flint.

Had lunch with Nicole#1 yesterday at the Star Bar...she is so nice...She even gave me a piece of cutlery. I don't want to sound mean, but our waitress needs to go back to waitressing school.

Unfortunately I had pool league last night...it was so nice out...anyway our team got our asses whipped....I on the other hand won all my games. I even had Fernando call the guy from last week and tell him I had time to take up his bet, he balked at it though....would have been an easy $400. We were at Jeannie' Bottle
Temp showed up and we bs for a while....discussing pros and cons of girls with...... There was also a small skirmish with another guy I was playing, but I ended that quickly.

Got another decent night of sleep.

Deep Though for the Day : I wish a robot would get elected president. That way, when he came to town, we could all take a shot at him and not feel too bad.

Notes about rotating header pictures : I've had several ask about them. Yes, that one is my senior picture. The Z28 I got rid of in about 92'. Austin is the little one in the chair with his thumb. The one picture is my model pose. Yes; that is Honest Abe with Marcus and I, we had taken a time machine back....long scary story to say the least.

Blaise had his first game last night, he looked so cute...but he also looked like a 5 year old that has never played....he watched the ball roll right by him twice. When the kids finally figured out they needed to get the ball they'd all take off after it as a group, it was cute.

Austin's team won their first game last night 7-4. They had fun the whole game, seems pretty hard to keep them pumped up. A couple of the kids I think are in bad situations at home and they are so down when they show up. They usually take most of my time trying to get them enthusiastic....let alone coaching. We played the same team that I mentioned in The day after... on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 08:54 AM. The coach didn't even seem to be in it last night. Our pitchers looked really good last night; Joey, Brice, & Andy. Kaleb is a little kid had an outstanding catch in left field laast night and even with the sun in his eyes. Michael, he's kinda a timid kid had a great tag out at third landing on his shoulder and still holding on the ball....Kudos to the entire team.Indianola Little League Site

Got some sleep after working on the portal for DMACC for a couple hours last night.

This pool thing is getting old...have to be inside tonight again, when I should be outside, particularly the steak ride.

I have made some revelations about my living arrangements...and I think it will shock most. I'll talk about it later after I come up with a plan of action.

Deep thought for the day: If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "probably because of something you did."

Let's see....Monday night left work...helped crack-whore Williams with moving her furniture around....lasted a little longer then it was suppose to, so got home late...and that was it...

Got here semi-early today, as we have 2 baseball games today. Blaise & Austin...Today will be Blaise's first game....did I tell you how cute he looked at pictures....too bad they grow up.

My calf still hurts and is very stiff...so I can't do much with it yet, should be good enough so I can run on Thursday!

Drake Relays Friday night was interesting to say the least . Blaise lasted about 50 minutes before becoming his delirious self. An afternoon nap at daycare would have helped. Austin had an experience he will never forget. His team finished in the middle of the pack.....Obviously there were some fast runners.

Saturday: busy day...first thing baseball pictures and game....When we got to pictures, a particular son of mine was not wearing shoes he had his crocs on......luckily Austin was the only one with a game. Hopefully they don't show in his pictures.

Chantel & Brandon got married in the afternoon. Great wedding, ran into several people I hadn’t seen for years.. It was great. The bride was beautiful. I also saw Liz's daughter. I’d seen pictures before, didn’t think anything about them…saw her Sat….Holy smokes, wow she was drop dead gorgeous…she’s 18. Hopefully she doesn’t let that go to her head. My date ended up being Judy E. I think I’ve only seen her once since she retired. She hasn’t changed one bit, awesome! I had to leave at 6 for the bus trip which is a whole other story.

Saturday night: Very interesting to say the least.....went to Mickey's in Adel...for too long but met Nicole...went to drink...normal stuff there...walked up to Caberet.....then finally ened up at Miss Kitty's for about 3+ hours.......You know just too much to say about Saturday night...if you really want to know you're going to have to ask.

Sunday; a somewhat relaxing day getting up at 11am....it was georgous out.

Oh yeah....I'm sliding...losing faith in the human race again....It's hard to imagine what goes through people minds when they treat others the way they treat them....What is so wrong with treating others the way you want treated? Too many selfish people out there. Disclaimer: I'm not perefect either, but I'm very honest with everyone. Playing games, I don't think so.
