IMPORTANT! Dumb people are breeding at an alarming rate while the intelligent people are not….

I was supposed to mention I got schooled at shuffleboard New Years Eve by a girl…….

What color does a Smurf turn, if you choke it?

Went to the Iowa State game last night (last minute)….besides walking through the freezing cold ¾ of a mile….the game was more boring than a trip to Moscow, Iowa . The highlight of the game was the halftime entertainment of “ Build A Hamburger Race ” where you have two teams race to build a hamburger using both people as buns and all the trimming’s, which are huge vegetable looking pieces of foam…..sorry no photos, I was riveted to the action. We won the game anyway, of course it was against a Junior High team called USC-Upstate . The players seem to enjoy playing basketball as much as I enjoy working….Did I mention how cold that walk was to/from the game??

After the game went to Olde Main in downtown Ames for an adult soda and meal.... $1 beers , make sure you're drinking what they brew. Had a french dip sandwich..WOWWW!!!! the roast beef was fabulous, melted in your mouth.

Austin's basketball returns on Saturday....we had a nice small break....

54days without a deer incident!

The official Digital Television/DTV Converter Box Coupon Program is now online . Congress created it for households wishing to keep using their analog TV sets and use over-the-air antennae to get TV feeds. After February 17, 2009 . The program allows American households to obtain up to two coupons, each worth $40, that can be applied toward the cost of eligible converter boxes. A TV connected to cable, satellite, or other pay TV service does not require a TV converter box from this program.

Did I mention Austin is becoming rebellious, stating how we don’t care….or at least that I don’t…damn teenagers…I was hoping things would be opened enough between us before he got to this point, unlike where I was with my parents. I had tried since day 1 with them too. Didn’t help him having one parent that cared and one that didn’t, with him getting the blunt of it….Time will tell.

Maybe some ice skating tonight.......

Deep Thought of the Day: One thing that makes me believe in UFOs is, sometimes I lose stuff.

Led Zeppelin to headline Bonnaroo....COLDDDDDDDDDDD

What exactly is a ”pocket veto”? Is it an Italian doll of some guy you carry around in your pocket?

Interesting stuff over the weekend my Ex-father-in-law disappeared from his car lot(he sells cars) Friday…cell phone on the ground, building wide open…..Found him almost 2 days later by St. Louis, he’s alive…..some how he became delusional ……..drove to Arkansas and back to Missouri…..he remembered his pin number for his Debit card, of course he didn’t have any money in his account…..At least he’s OK, be hard on my boys if some foul play was involved…..

Friday night missed Eric’s get together and Kyle’s party…don’t remember much except I felt great!! ….and my hair was frozen??.... and almost got kicked out of BG …not because of me though……

New Years Eve ...ended at Kenny's....nice relaxing night....

Looks like a full house back here at work today......Boys go back to school tomorrow...with their mom today....

Led Zeppelin to headline Bonnaroo
Led Zeppelin will headline a US rock festival next year.

The legendary band will perform at Tennessee's Bonnaroo festival in June 2008 after lead singer Robert Plant had a "change of heart" over the decision to follow up their comeback concert at London's O2 arena earlier this month with further dates.

A source said, "They are going to play the Bonnaroo festival, which runs from June 12 to 15. This news will drive their fans absolutely wild.

"They have been bombarding their Website to get back together for good but only lead singer Robert Plant wasn't keen to commit.

"Now he's had a change of heart and if it all goes well they are also talking about touring."

It has been rumored that 2008 will see the band embark on a world tour that could net them in the region of £1 billion. Members include bassist John Paul Jones and guitarist Jimmy Page, with late drummer John Bonham' s son Jason on drums.

The source added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "All ticket sellers have been told a world tour will take place, there's just some ironing out of contracts to be done. They are already talking about playing venues like Knebworth, Glastonbury and even returning to Madison Square Garden in New York where they played their legendary shows in 1973.

"They were looking to do it in March but now it will most likely be May. With ticket sales combined with merchandising it could make them as much as £1 billion ($US1.9 billion)."

No it didn’t. Yes, it did. No it didn’t. Yes, it did. Oh this is pointless. No it isn’t…..

48days without a deer incident!

Blaise is about ready to lose his first tooth….If you can remember losing yours; you’ll realize the struggle he is having with this. A bit of inner turmoil and just flat out fear… On Christmas he had his finger on his tooth most of the day…and his older brother didn’t help much I did lay his fears to rest a little, letting him know…. the tooth fairy will still come even if the tooth gets lost and he won’t choke if he swallows it.

Austin and Blaise were going skating last night. Austin called me a told me they were going in case I was too…you could hear his mom in the background yelling at him for telling me….

....and Plummer is off to Nassau. Even had someone to go.....

We might have 50% of people here today…Watching people over the last couple days, makes me believe if they looked the doors this week and gave everyone the week off. They would have saved money. How? Electricity…yeah I know that’s not much of a cost. Salaries being paid to everyone here…most are doing very little. If everyone had this week off and came back after the holiday, I think we would all be rejuvenated and more productive then just slugging away this week and next week….

Had lunch yesterday with BJ, Marcus, & Kari…..I’m not sure why, but I keep expecting BJ to change….he’s exactly the same as he was 4 years ago, except maybe the marriage thing….WOW Marcus’s shoulder is causing him some serious pain, but he’s tuff…..

Cowboys are playing the Redskins Sunday…game doesn’t mean anything to the Cowboys…but it does to the Redskins and Vikings……Also I think we’re going to try to get Witten the TE record for receptions…he’s 9 catches from owning the record…..

Words for the Day: Muff Maintenance

THE IRISHMAN AND THE MORMON
A Mormon was seated next to an Irishman on a flight from London.
After the plane was airborne, drink orders were taken.
The Irishman asked for a whiskey, which was promptly brought and placed before him.
The flight attendant then asked the Mormon if he would like a drink.
He replied in disgust, 'I'd rather be savagely raped by a dozen whores than let liquor touch my lips.'
The Irishman then handed his drink back to the attendant and said, 'Me too, I didn't know we had a choice

Deep Thought of the Day: What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

Great day to be in Bermuda

Three of us went skating last night....wasn't bad except my face got a little cold, but I toughed it out. I kept reenacting out the sophistication of my accident from Friday…when I broke/cracked my rib….I’m sure all parties were just thrilled. We ended up going to the Olive Garden ...took care of one of my gift cards, haven't been to the one in town here forever then suddenly I get two gift cards for Christmas....

Looks like Becky is going under the knife this morning for the slip of a knife on Christmas on her hand, pretty deep cut. Didn’t cut anything major, just down to the bone.

Marcus is still alive, he's toughing it out with his shoulder.....

FYI…DO NOT TEXT SEDI.

April and BJ are back in town till the weekend… Eric should be here too.

Here's a small commericial for the new Knight Rider.....

Lets see if Giants can beat up on the Patriots this weekend, to prevent the perfect REGULAR Season...since we know the Cowboys will be beating them in the Super Bowl .....Of course the Giants are planning on resting several of there starters to save them for the playoffs.....

Deep Thought of the Day: As we were driving, we saw a sign that said "Watch for Rocks." Marta said it should read "Watch for Pretty Rocks." I told her she should write in hersuggestion to the highway department, but she started saying it was a joke - just to get out of writing a simple letter! And I thought I was lazy!

The day after Christmas 07'
Wednesday, December 26, 2007, 11:43 AM
I'm at work today too....about 55% of people here...left the boys at 9 with the ex...god save them..

Anyway we had a nice time yesterday....Like normal the boys got more junk then they know what to do with.....and some badly needed clothes that Austin thinks is just out of style.....They both got two saving bonds that go towards there college... Austin has over $2000 in savings bonds for school, Blaise is catching....Should help a little.

Ended up getting a portable gas grill ( Coleman ) to use at tailgating and the like...also got my mixer that I badly needed. Now that would require me to cook. May take the grill back and get the Webber ...I have to see which one I like the best.

Ate alot of the food over the last couple days and maybe two full pies....I think I'm ready to explode....

Eric is suppose to be back in town this weekend....If I don't leave town Friday, I'll end up seeing him that night....

If anybody is interested I think a few of us are going ice skating tonight...

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas.....
