I got snow Des Moines didn't
Friday, January 11, 2008, 09:35 AM
I got about 4 inches of snow yesterday afternoon....Des Moines got nothing...

The Roads were 100% Snow and Ice covered driving back to work this morning till Hwy 5 east of Hartford....and then there was no snow!

It's almost here... February 2 . The BRR ride is a 24-mile round trip from Perry to Rippey and back to Perry . Piece of cake.....and of course there are a couple bars in Perry you can warm up in....

I got plenty of sleep last night.

Deep Thought of the Day: It makes me mad when I go to all the trouble of having Marta cook up about a hundred drumsticks, then the guy at Marineland says, "You can't throw that chicken to the dolphins. They eat fish."
Sure they eat fish, if that's all you give them! Man, wise up.

The Weekend Trying to Cash Bernie's Check
Thursday, January 10, 2008, 09:05 AM - Obituaries
Weekend at Bernie's situation where 2 old guys in NY wheeled their dead friend & tried to cash his $355 Social Security check.

So damn hot in here…..Is that suppose to make us more productive??
Sedi and I went skating last night...the best workout so far I've had skating....there was anywhere betwen 5-20 skating...giving me plenty of room to actually work on my skating ability...long ways to go before this summer's hockey league.

FYI: DO NOT WEAR a dress shirt under a sweatshirt...otherwise you will be picking lint off forever....

NO SLEEP…and not for the right reasons…..dragging ….is this day over?

Schooled Sedi the first game of Shuffleboard down at Zimm’s…then he brought his game back and that was the end…..Then he took on Amy and wasn't very nice with her...as he continued to show who is the big deal in Shuffleboard.

Blacken Jamaican Jerk Chicken Salad is SASSY…down at Buzzard Billy’s.
...did that sound gay?

Can't wait to see the blog Jona's doing for school.

Tata Motors rolls out $2,500 car

Finally something I can afford and look cool in..... more information here. ...did I mention 54 MPG.

Deep Thought of the Day: Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion.
For instance, let's say you're an astronaut on the moon and you fear that your partner has been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham!, you just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man."

Middle of the week.....gosh!
Wednesday, January 9, 2008, 09:42 AM - Obituaries
Why does it feel like Saturday ...because of the holidays gone bye?

This was actually in the Des Moines Register ...totally something my mom would do, except I probably would have been killed.

My grandfather turns 85 on on Saturday...amazing how he doesn't need glasses, he drinks straight from the bottle.
Pool League starts in two weeks...

Ron White next Saturday...
Maybe some skating tonight.....

Deep Thought of the Day: When the chairman introduced the guest speaker as a former illegal alien, I got up from my chair and yelled, "What's the matter, no jobs on Mars?" When no one laughed, I was real embarrassed. I don't think people should make you feel that way.

No Turbo Boost Tuesday and the Birthday of the King
Tuesday, January 8, 2008, 08:34 AM
Elvis Aaron Presley is celebrating a birthday today... thanks to Terrance for keeping me informed!

This is sweet... building a Beer Brewing Bender ...you know the one from Futurama...that we don't watch...

If anyone is considering Mrs. Clinton for president...you need to watch this...all the way through....if you don't doubt her character now...you will....As of this hour this is still on the web..............

Get this around before it is pulled. It is 13 min and 39 sec long but well worth your time. Turn your speakers on.

30-Second Knight Rider Commercial Airs, No Turbo Boost In Sight

Saw the American Gangster movie last night....based on a true story....cried when they blew up the Shelby ....

Deep Thought of the Day: Whether they ever find life there or not, I think Jupiter should be considered
an enemy planet.

Monday, January 7, 2008, 09:57 AM
Welcome back to a full week of work....

Just because you get married to someone….doesn’t mean you own them or have the right to control them…..

Austin’s team won Saturday. They played and looked like a team. We went ice skating after that…amateur day…..so are we….

Austin has a basketball tournament this Saturday in Osceola….

AMES, Iowa – Commemorative Iowa State 100 years of men’s basketball six-pack Coca-Cola bottles are now on sale in various locations in Central Iowa. Fans can purchase this unique collectors item at the following locations: Hy-Vee (Ames, Nevada, Ft. Dodge, Marshalltown), Fareway (Ames, Nevada), Target (Ames), Wal-Mart (Ames) and Cub Foods (Ames). Each 8-ounce bottle has the 100 years of men’s basketball logo on the side and the carton displays vintage photographs of former Cyclone greats. ISU is celebrating 100 years of men’s basketball throughout the entire season, culminating with a Centennial Celebration on Feb. 16 at the Iowa State-Nebraska basketball game. ISU is inviting back all former alumni and members of the 15-person All-Century team to be honored at halftime.
....and I know for a fact Johnny Orr will be back....

ISU beat North Dakota on Saturday night....I see a couple more wins before the end of the season.

Deep Thought of the Day: I don't understand people who say life is a mystery, because what is it they want to know?
