Challenge of the Cars

Yesterday I took a new Challenger out for a spin from Stew Hansons ....I put it through it's paces.....It had some nice speed and it should for having 375 ponies under the hood....The car just sat there a vibrated like a muscle car should....unfortunately the one I drove had an automatic transmission. Just within the last two weeks have they announced a manual for the cars.....I thoroughly tested the car ....I wasn't extremely happy with the corners.....my 3000 GT handles corners alot better and it's 14 years old....other than that it was nice.....Not sure about the look...It would depend on the package for it, the plain-jane ones...don't do much for me....still waiting on the Camero ....before making any type of decision...

Tommorrow...my Grandfather and his girlfriend are the king and queen for Log Cabin days in Indianola...so the boys and I will be up there for at least the parade.....stuff going on through Sunday....Antiques, crafts, flea market, food, parade, tours of historical buildings, children's games and contests, entertainment.

Have a great weekend....

Pool league started last night, after thinking I wasn't going to play this session. I let Travis talk me into it...I'm glad he did, it was fun last night....of course the weather was too nice to be inside, but that will soon change.....

Speed Racer dvd

Picked up Speed Racer on DVD yesterday...we watched it last night....I thought it was even better thatn in the theater of course the actual picture wasn't just the story.....maybe because we knew the story better...Sweet Movie!

Also had an impulse buy of Family Feud - All-Star Specials ...where tv shows were up against other tv shows (from 1976-1984)...I flipped through all four discs just watching the intros for each show and the actors being introduced and Richard Dawson (NewKirk) making out with the women. Here it is at Amazon.....All-Star Family Feud

Devastating

Austin looked horrible yesterday....He gave about 20% the whole game and most of it was on offense....as long as he wasn't going to get hit or in the middle of confrontation.....I don’t care if he isn’t any good, it’s the not trying part that bothers me…….He blew two tackles that were in his grasp, because he was worried he was going to get hurt and they continued another 45 yards(both times) for scores…the final score 36-0 Johnston. He wasn’t the only problem…..If he(just him) could have tried and played hard…I’m thinking the score would have been closer to 21-8……Absolutely no hustle or enthusiasm on his team. We had a nice talk about giving 100%, otherwise there is no reason he is out there. See if that helps. He did have a couple descent passes(he forgot how to throw a spiral) when he didn’t think and just threw it….

Blaise on the other hand looked awesome playing soccer, compared to previous weeks. He actually kicked the ball and followed it…made 2 goals. One was from the opposite end when he ran it all the way down and in……

Alright back to work…..

Austin’s first football game is this afternoon playing Johnston…He’s the quarterback on the 7th Grade heavy-weights….

Blaise has a soccer game tonight too.....luckily the fields are connected......

Yes ISU got smoked….…it’s not because they didn’t have ample opportunity to win either……They still have work to do….I still feel there attitude is where it needs to be to become a dominate team…..something I’ve never seen there before….. Iowa didn’t look that good either, but they did cover the spread

Watched Across the Universe ….Wow…talk about a deep , thought provoking movie…pure-emotion....CHIC-FLICK….The entire movie was a musical with only Beatle songs lived out inside the movie……Very well done…..I did feel like it got long at about ¾ or 7/8 point…for about 10 minutes……Still a great movie…..made many references to actual events, places, people in the late 60’s…. Jim Sturgess who also was the lead in 21 was great.

My fantasy football team got ripped severly yesterday.....that is why this auto-draft thing bites!!!!....I have 3 quarterbacks...the top one recieved 4 points.....usually a decent quarterback should recieve 10+.....my hands are tied......

Metallica is coming…..Oct to Wells Fargo … " Death Magnetic " is out now…

Kari is finally having a house warming for their house …it’s been well over a year for her and Mike….somewhere in Grimes

Coke tie-in for the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace instrumental score composed by Jack White from " The White Stripes ."
