The bikers hit outside of Grimes yesterday. One was Sergey “the Mad Russian” Morony. Higginz use to work with him at ADP (now at Meredith) - he was planning riding with Team Kamikaze this year...
He is in the ICU now and has two fractured vertebrae and skull - the other guy has that plus fractured pelvis, hip and arm - according to bikeiowa.com Both are expected to make an eventual full recovery according a friend that was at the hospital.

Blaise had a game last night…then we did some domestic stuff and I worked on the model site. Tonight Blaise has another game, then some of us are going out dinner, etc…..

The member that wrote had a bottle of red wine when he sang it and the next day listened to the tape and decided to leave it the way we all know it………I have made this the song of the day.

Deep Thought for the Day: Do you know what happens when you slice a golf ball in half? Someone gets mad at you. I found this out the hard way.

Austin lost his last baseball game last night…..not going to blame it on any players….Dan for one…kidding. Team sport! We actually have some of the best pitchers in the league…they throw strikes, but our fielding has too many gaps that never completely filled in. I’d like to say everyone improved, but that isn’t the case. Anyway, Blaise has 2 games left tonight and tomorrow. Closing ceremonies on Thursday, then we can close the chapter on Indianola Little League for this year. Austin did make the All-Star team, don’t tell him….he doesn’t know yet. They will announce that at closing ceremonies on Thursday…so he’ll have a few more games, but I won’t be coaching as they decided the teams and coaches when I was in LA. That’s OK, except it will be hard to sit there…..

Marla and Jesse were in California. They went to Yosemite and hiked Half Dome. It about killed them, but he said it was pretty awesome. The two pictures are them at the top and the other is the cables you use on the final ascent.
Deep Thought for the Day: At first I thought, if I were Superman, a perfect secret identity would be "Clark Kent, Dentist," because you could save money on tooth X-rays. But then I thought, if a patient said, "How's my back tooth?" and you just looked at it with your X-ray vision and said, "Oh it's okay," then the patient would probably say, "Aren't you going to take an X-ray, stupid?" and you'd say, "Aw fuck you, get outta here," and then he probably wouldn't even pay his bill.

The trip to LA
The first flight from DSM to Dallas, I was almost asleep(and I can never sleep on a plane) when The guy in front of me and the guy to the side of me decide they need to talk and talk loudly for about 45 minutes…..I guess they have all the space they want too.

Got a bunch of texts about our softball win, while I was in Dallas…..they won decently. Apparently I’m someone’s good luck charm as she struck out 3 times without me there….must have forgot how to play?

Almost missed my flight to LA from Dallas as I was drinking heavily at T.G.I.F. and watching the 1st game of the NBA finals with the Cavaliers and the Spurs playing. Spur were dominating while I was watching, but there was a lot of game left.
…Long flight.

Gas was .45 cents higher here. The speedometer on the cab from the airport was somewhere between 10-20 mph lower then the actual speed. I wonder if that explanation will work if he gets pulled over.

It didn’t start hitting me until the ride to the hotel and driving by several clubs with paparazzi standing around outside with their camera’s ready for someone to come out.

There were people lined up to get into the lounge/club at hotel when I walked in about 12:30am CA time. The pool area was packed with people, nobody swimming.

The biggest news topic is Paris Hilton thing! Why? People get a life….2-3 years ago nobody knew who she was, maybe it was 4…I’m still not sure why people know who she is..

Love the bed setup, very nice….too bad won’t be using it to it’s full potential!

Just got back from L.A. Models, will be back out with a few of them tonight. I don’t have to meet with Ford today..…Sounds very promising…will require a lot of work in the next year, but they would take our current product with a new front end.
I walked back to the hotel...about 12 blocks..went by about three of the Guilds…..Screen Directors Guild was one……

Several bikinis at the pool...I have to actually work now.

Again I’ll be staying at The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood, apparently a very trendy party hotel . I was just informed that I need to get some sleep and not stay up all night, before one of the meetings tomorrow. I was also told, they would try to get me a room with a pool view . This may be better then I thought!!!!!..…it's very close to The Viper Room.
The mighty Ducks actually won the Stanley Cup last night...congrats!!

Austin had his last regular season game last night…we smoked the Cubs 21-7…Our team actually started playing more like a team…A little enthusiasm and hustle…Unfortunately one of our better players is becoming disheartened and taking it out on his team, as the rest of team is actually coming around a little. I guess the tournament next week will say it all!

Got little sleep last night, packed this morning…..will arrive in LA about 10:30 CA time….so after midnight here….will most likely be exhausted, but…….Is 6 pairs of shoes/sandles to many for 3 days? Should just buy everything out there.

Very slime….I mean “slim” chance you’ll see an update from me tomorrow, will try to do one Sat or Sunday morning, if I have the chance. Have a great weekend!!!!!
