Damn Ponds
Thursday, June 24, 2010, 09:32 AM
15K to do some dozer work on one of my ponds and fix a water way....either that or continue to let it go then really have problems......

Fixing some electrical things at home are getting more costly and more involved, I sure hope the next owner appreciates it.

Not even sure where my time went last night......

The New Belgium Brewing Urban Assault Ride...August 22nd.

Dan ripped his ACL, now he's out for RAGBRAI....

What a lazy cat!

Deep Thought of The Day: Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.

Gloomy
Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 09:58 AM
You don't even want to know what I'm thinking...after about 40 sec....

Gloomy out...what is up with this rain...we won't have any later in the year, probably a drought.....

Jace turns 7 tomorrow......Don't even want to think about how old I actually am, or how old I feel like with this damn ankle. I was at the Wells Fargo Arena yesterday and looking across the Arena football field and was like; I couldn't even run across that or jump or anything....depressing. I'd be worried I'd break into tiny pieces....

RAGBRAI 31 days away and no training yet.....

Deep Thought of the Day:
Life is a journey, Enjoy the ride....or jump off.

Green Hornet
Tuesday, June 22, 2010, 09:10 AM
The trailer for the new Green Hornet movie...Actually looks damn good, will have to wait till January to find out.
Even without Bruce Lee, I'll probably see this.

....and this rain still needs to go away!

Deep Thought of the Day: Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls, and looks like work.

Rain Go AWAY!
Monday, June 21, 2010, 02:48 PM
ISU basketball camp was awesome!
Except maybe for this, at least it's not broke.

I was so close to winning the knockout competition...down to me and another guy out of 40.
I'm totally pumped for this next year in basketball. Talked to most of the new kids on the team, they seem very nice. Talked to Grayer for quite a while and Hoiberg, even talked to Hoiberg's dad for an hour.......very impressed with everyone's attitude!
Blaise actually won the free throw competition for his age group out of about 40 kids...very nice, especially considering he's not a big bb fan. Austin was not impressive, not sure what was up with him...he eats and sleeps bb and nothing......

The new basketball center is very cool, the players and coaches are very lucky!

Because of the rain on Friday the championship game was moved to Saturday. It was the funnest and best game I've been part of over the last 8 years at Indianola. We lost by one point, they scored with 2 outs. It was so close....We actually had more opportunities to win the game then they did, but we couldn't close them.

Missing the IA Cubs game and bike ride due to my ankle, Blaise is even at the game with day care........

Jen is suppose to have a softball game tonight at Sands, depends on the rain thing...I do know I won't be playing, just a spectator. ....I'm only letting this ankle thing slow me up until Saturday...so it better heal or too bad for it.

Father's Day was nice and relaxing....and then it disintegrated.

Deep Thought of the Day : A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery On a detour.

and then there was two

Fun game last night and we won, so we made it to the championship. Suppose to be tonight, We aren't going to be there due to ISU basketball camp, but looks like it may be to wet anyway.....good, cause I want to be there. I'm sure they would do fine without me, but I don't care.

Immigration Perspective and the NBA Playoffs
Those who watched the NBA playoffs knows that the Phoenix Suns sponsored a protest against the Immigration Laws that were passed in their state - Arizona. All the players wore Los Sons on their jerseys and various players also spoke out against the law. Here is an interesting alternative view posted by Jan Brewer Ariz Governor......
How would the Sun's owners like it if: "What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were sneaking into games without paying? What if they had a good idea who the gate-crashers are, but the ushers and security personnel were not allowed to ask these folks to produce their ticket stubs, thus non-paying attendees couldn't be ejected. Furthermore, what if Suns' ownership was expected to provide those who sneaked in with complimentary eats and drink? And what if, on those days when a gate-crasher became ill or injured, the Suns had to provide free medical care and shelter?"

Have a great Weekend!
