Warning for men
Friday, August 3, 2007, 08:48 AM
Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties & local pubs to be
alert and stay cautious when offered a drink from any woman. Many females
use a date rape drug on the market called " Beer ." The drug is found in
liquid form and is available anywhere. It comes in bottles, cans, or from
taps and in large "kegs".

Beer is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade
their male victims to go home and sleep with them. A woman needs only to
get a guy to consume a few units of " Beer " and then simply ask him home for
no strings attached sex. Men are rendered helpless against this approach.

After several " beers ", men will often succumb to the desires to sleep with
horrific looking women whom they would never normally be attracted to.
After drinking beer, men often awaken with only hazy memories of exactly
what happened to them the night before, often with just a vague feeling
that "something bad" occurred. At other times these unfortunate men are
swindled out of their life's savings, in a familiar scam known as "a
relationship."

In extreme cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the
unsuspecting male into a longer term form of servitude and punishment
referred to as " marriage ." Men are much more susceptible to this scam after
"beer" is administered and sex is offered by the predatory females.
Please! Forward this warning to every male you know. If you fall victim
to this " Beer " scam and the women administering it, there are male support
groups where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter with
similarly victimized men. For the support group nearest you, just look up
" NIGHT CLUBS " in the phone book.

Beautiful Thursday......

When you learn not to want things so badly, life comes to you.

…and this is the truth. Something I’ve known for quite a while, just haven’t been able to totally follow. I was extremely close at the beginning of the year, towards the beginning of softball. I let myself slip a little sometime in there. Finally getting back from RAGBRAI this year, I’m so at peace with myself. Not sure why, but finally. It’s only taken me 3 years to get to this point. Ask anybody that knows me, how a few things have consumed me over this period. Anyway enough of that!

I continue to learn so much about people and their thought processes and continuously reevaluate myself, usually able to tie a part of my life to where other people are with themselves and feelings. With that said…. I work with a few guys that ask me why I don’t play Texas Hold’em on a regular basis, so you can study people and there personalities, characteristics, etc. Why? Sometimes I have little patience. I can’t sit there for that long, when there are other things that are faster paced I’d rather be doing…#1 thing, I’m not saying….but for gambling I would definitely say craps . I will still play, just not on a regular basis.

Since I am so relaxed, I haven’t done anything exciting. I also have no plans for the weekend, except working around the house with the boys on Saturday. After that, I may work on my own stuff or just sleep. ;)

I did watch Battle of the Bulge last night. Very informative movie, I think in the past I have heard about how we weren’t that close to ending WWII as we all think. In fact if this battle would have been won by Germany, things would definitely have turned out differently. The movie itself was probably not that entertaining, but on a historical level it was great!

One of the things I miss most about RAGBRAI are the early morning bloody mary's . Some more than others, great way to start the day!

In the next 2 weeks Marcus, I and my boys are going to Adventureland. Hopefully Laura can handle me stealing her man for a day! :)

Deep Thought of the Day: Instead of studying for finals, what about just going to the Bahamas and catching some rays? Maybe you'll flunk, but you might have flunked anyway; that's my point.

This week back in 1850, in California
Thursday, August 2, 2007, 08:50 AM
California became a state.
The State had no electricity.
The State had no money..
Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gunfights in the streets.

Basically, it was just like California today, except the women had real boobs and the men did not hold hands...

Normal grind

What’s it like to be back at work? Awwwwwwwwwww. I’m still unwinding from RAGBRAI. Besides the elbow I feel awesome, like I usually do afterwards. Its so invigorating being out in nature for a week and not in a stuffy office. The secret is find something or someone so I can maintain this feeling through the year….easier said then done. Still haven’t fully unloaded the bus, let alone cleaned it. Maybe tonight on that, the boys can help a little.

I have updated the team page , a little on the log, and put up some of the pictures I took from RAGBRAI. I usually don’t take my camera too much as I’d probably lose or break it for sure. That’s why the pictures are so limited.

Blaise had his first soccer practice last night…..I was so fun to watch these 5 year olds try to play soccer….very cute!

I have nothing planned the rest of this week through next as I’m just going to unwind…of course that could change.

Summerjam is Saturday in Newton

Deep Thoughts of the Day: I think a pillow should be the peace symbol, not the dove. The pillow has more feathers than the dove, and it doesn't have a beak to peck you with.

2007 Tour de France winners
Monday, July 30, 2007, 04:37 PM
Here are all the winners at the 2007 Tour de France.

Alberto Contador (Spain) won the General Classification, aka, the Yellow Jersey. At age 24, he also won the best young rider classification, known as the White Jersey.

Discovery Channel put two cyclists on the podium, Contador and US cyclist Levi Leipheimer . As Discovery and its predecessor, US Postal Service, they've won the Tour eight out of the past nine years. Might want to give a big dose of credit to Johan Bruyneel for that. Discovery won the team competition.

Belgium's Tom Boonen (Quickstep) won the points competition, aka the Green Jersey. He also won two stages along the way.

Newcomer Mauricio Soler (Colombia) of the Barloworld team took home the polka dot jersey in King of the Mountain competition. He's also a young guy we'll hear from in the future.

Wim Vansevenant (Belgium) of Predictor - Lotto won the lanterne rouge competition, which means he finished last. I doubt if Vansevenant set out to win this competition, but one reason he finished 3 hours and 53 minutes behind the leader was because he spent his days helping the team boss, Cadel Evans, who became the first Australian ever to finish on the podium in Paris.

To see how everyone finished, check results for Tour de France Stage 20 at CyclingNews .
