ISU basketball is exciting again!

It's suppose to open at the Kansas Game

Yeah, it's the real deal..... Christopherson had an amazing game last night, tied two records. When he left the game he had outscored Drake by himself.
Godfrey is supurb underneath....needs to improve his offense, but otherwise supurb underneath. Ejin can be explosive(he's the one Austin played one-on-one against back in June while wearing flip-flops and just schooled Austin) . Garrett has improved so much over the last 3 years. He hasn't been making any mistakes and he's running the offensive very well. Yeah this is a gret team for ISU, I'm definately thinking we will make the tournament this year. The 5 guys that are sitting out this year? They are actually probably better than our starting five

A little BBall tonight.....

Cowboys and Aliens ...ummm...trailers looks extremely interesting.....

Deep Thought of the Day: Many people think that history is a dull subject. Dull? Is it "dull" that Jesse James once got bitten on the forehead by an ant, and at first it didn't seem like anything, but then the bite got worse and worse, so he went to a doctor in town, and the secretary told him to wait, so he sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and then finally he got to see the doctor, and the doctor put some salve on it? You call that dull?

Hug or Laughter?

So Which Is It?
Laughter is the shortest distance between friends.
or
A Hug is the shortest distance between friends.

I think I have too many people with the same name in my phone... oops...time to delete more out.

Drake will be losing to ISU tonight.

Deep Thought of the Day: The whole town laughed at my great-grandfather, just because he worked hard and saved his money. True, working at the hardware store didn't pay much, but he felt it was better than what everybody else did, which was go up to the volcano and collect the gold nuggets it shot out every day. It turned out he was right. After forty years, the volcano petered out. Everybody left town, and the hardware store went broke. Finally he decided to collect gold nuggets too, but there weren't many left by then. Plus, he broke his leg and the doctor's bills were real high.

Wine and Ignornace
Sunday, November 14, 2010, 08:07 PM
Blaise turned the big 9 yesterday. He is becoming such a gentleman...So refreshing watching these two boys maturing and taking responsibilities....they still fight with each other, but everyday I gain more trust in them.

Flashback: What was I doing 4 years ago??

What is up with ignorance? I guess this next piece isn’t really ignorance more wacked…then anything. I can see this happening more at a younger age, but when people mature their mentality should grow and this stuff shouldn't happen. My option....
When you’re friendly with people sometimes they pour their heart and feeling out to you. For instance they will talk about their last significant other and just rake this person over the coals, how bad they are, how they hurt them so much, what they did to them physically and mentally, etc.. How they did this and that and were just so wrong for them…….The sad part…. before too long they go right back to that person, that can make one sick to their stomach, especially me. I hate watching that happen. Witnessed it again yesterday…Wow….things just don’t add up right……None of my business really, but they shouldn't spill their guts to me and I wouldn't care. Just try to stay away from those types of people. Enough of that.

Austin is healing nicely; hopefully he can get back to basketball by Wednesday.

Wine Tour
1st stop was the Covered Bridges Winery in Winterset…..9 of us, about 1:30pm. Cindy had a little too much tastings with people dumping the sweeter wines in her glass. They had some decent wines. The only one I preferred was the Marechal Foch , nice dry red…..Kevin was extremely knowledgeable on growing grapes and bottling wine. I’m guessing but I would have to say he’s more knowledgeable about the process than 80% of the small wineries here in Iowa. Just based off some one the processes he was talking about that they run with the wine…Above and beyond the normal winery.
Then we set off for those losers….aka(extremely rude people at that brick winery)

Red Brick Winery in Ellston …Jerk-off….We get there at 3:30, call the number on the sign. Hours on sign read 12-4pm on Saturday. It was locked, so we called the number. 10 minutes later the owner arrives, we tell them we have 4 more they are about 10 minutes behind us (Chris had them lost). The owner is…Well I have an appointment I have to go, locks the door and leaves…that is it!…..What a jerk-off…this is after Cindy had them called before the weekend to tell them that a group was coming……
Luckily I got to meet Darlene's of Darlene's Place. Pretty run-down authentic OLD place, but Darlene was nice. She even had bottles of Schlitz’s . I did stay away from that, High life was refreshing after the long drive from Covered Bridges Winery.
The other vehicle never made it to Ellston, so we were to meet them in Osceola. Even stopping at Darlene’s and of course I was driving, we still beat them to Osceola…. Southern Hills Winery… which for some reason it wasn’t even open…Sign read till 6pm…WTF??? Casino is right across the street………..

ISU Basketball looked good today, but not as good as they should have.. Much, much, much better then the McDermott era

Hickory Park was good too....

Football not too good

Tour De Lights this weekend!

Austins last game of the year at Urbandale
Sunday, November 14, 2010, 10:52 AM
So the photographer was right down there in the action and this is the best he can do of Austin? Austin had a great game and some excellent plays and this is it? Also $40 to purchase each of these in High Resolution??? Decent price and I may have considered it....can't make a profit when no one buys.

....and yes pointing is extremely important in football.
