Why is it when you rush something, it usually fails? No matter how well you think you know all the variables and are willing to totally throw yourself into it. On the other hand if you skip something or don’t rush it someone else usually benefits greatly from it. Is there no gray area?

Doesn’t look like many are working today. Even with no one on the road, someone still managed to pull out right in front of me forcing me to swerve over to the other lane….geesh people!!

Well Jen found out the hard truth to those damn stoplight cameras after I have already found out unce, tric, fee times…….I still like the way The Green Hornet handles them…about 3 weeks away from finding that out on the big screen.

Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport
We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.
My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.
As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
so ... Love the people who treat you right.
Pray for the ones who don't.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Indians lost both games last night to the Rams . Austin played decent, he had a buzzer beating 40 foot 3 pointer at the end of the 3rd. I'm thinking different coaches and they probably would have won. I think the 'A' problem is more coaching then anything. Sad thing is it starts at the varsity level and comes down. I was informed last night...a couple of the starters, they are juniors this year and will not be playing next year. Just because they can't stand how bad the coaching is. Until we can can get a different/better coach it won't be getting any better for the Indian boys BB teams....Sad but true. It wouldn't take the best coach either, just a decent one. Not everyone can coach/teach......and some only at particular levels.
Luckily Austin will get a good oportunity(I think) with Kingdom Hoops .

Semester Tests this week....that is for Austin.
Playing SE Polk tonight.....

Austin, Blaise and I played basketball at the Y the last two days... Austin has definately improved....but I can still take him. He has a couple really nice moves to fake out his opponent....Defense sucks and unfortuantely he's had a couple college players tell him they can't really play defense because the game is going to fast. That is ridiculous. Great... something he will most likely take to heart..if he could only realize that is were he needs to spend a great deal of time and discipline... he could actually have a shot.

Had fun at the TSMedia Xmas party Fri. Tom seemed out of it though.

Buccaneers were slightly schooled Saturday night.

Apparently almost everyone waits until the last moment to go shopping...Saturday was a zoo.

After a very sluggish start yesterday ISU finally came out to play. We seem to only be a 7 player team at the moment. Godfrey and Palo looked very good yesterday coming off the bench.
